The New Zealand Dollar has opened largely unchanged, just 3 pips lower than last week’s opening level. The flightless bird looks set to go into hiding over the coming three weeks, with the next major economic announcement not coming until U.S. Non-farm Payrolls data is released on 11 January, 2020.
As always, there is the possibility of 2019 year-end position square-ups having an impact, and there is also the outside chance of another ‘flash crash‘. On a more positive note, it is first time ever that the U.S. economy has gone through an entire decade without going into a recession.
